Match Analysis

I’ve been a City fan for eight years now. Call me a bandwagon fan if you want, it doesn’t bother me anymore. City were the team I started watching when I first got into the sport. Until now, most of my “analysis” would usually fade away after an intense dinner-table conversation with my dad.

This winter break, back home from college, watching football with him again brought back a lot of memories from when I was still in school. It felt familiar, comforting, and a little nostalgic. Somewhere along the way, I realized it might be worth putting these thoughts down on paper instead of letting them disappear.

So I decided to start this blog. With some unexpected downtime at home, it felt like the perfect opportunity to combine everything I have learned in college about the game, data, and visualization, and use it to give my own perspective on matches that genuinely interest me.
